Navigating a Unique Journey

Embarking on this unique journey to find the perfect university for our daughter was both challenging and exhilarating. She attended a private school in Chicago that provided excellent counseling services, yet, like many parents, we noticed certain gaps in the guidance offered. Seeking additional support, we were referred to Solomon for several compelling reasons that promised to address these shortcomings. Fortunately, the criteria we prioritized in selecting a counselor were consistently met, playing a vital role in giving our daughter a comprehensive understanding of the application process. Our counselor, Kelly, delved into our daughter’s high school experiences, helped identify the college environment that best aligned with her aspirations, and supported her throughout the journey with remarkable skill. Most importantly, she did so with both efficiency and honesty, offering our daughter the guidance we couldnt provide ourselves. Ultimately, she gained admission to her first-choice college through the Early Decision process. However, the most significant and arguably the most valuable aspect was how Kelly encouraged our daughter to take a step back from the application rush and reflect on her entire high school experience. This reflection allowed her to pinpoint key elements in her academic and social development. We believe that this introspective process, guided by Kelly, was an invaluable asset that made the experience less overwhelming and ultimately educational for our daughter.
