A Journey Towards the Perfect University

Embarking on the significant task of finding the right university for our daughter was both intimidating and thrilling. She attended a private school in Chicago, which offered outstanding counseling services, yet like many parents, we noticed certain shortcomings in the guidance provided. Seeking additional support led us to Solomon for various reasons that promised to fill these gaps. Thankfully, the criteria we valued in selecting a counselor were consistently met, playing a vital role in giving our daughter a more comprehensive understanding of the application process. Our counselor, Kelly, thoroughly evaluated our daughter’s high school experiences, helped pinpoint the type of college environment that aligned with her goals, and supported her through every step with remarkable competence. She approached her role with both efficiency and honesty, offering guidance that we couldn’t provide ourselves. Ultimately, our daughter secured admission to her first-choice college through the ED process. However, the most meaningful and arguably the most valuable aspect was how Kelly encouraged our daughter to take a step back from the applications to reflect on her entire high school journey. This reflection allowed her to identify key elements of her academic and social development. We believe that Kelly’s guidance in this introspective phase was an invaluable asset, making the entire process less overwhelming and more enlightening for our daughter.
