Outstanding Experience with Sam Joustra!

Our first encounter with Collegewise truly impressed us, highlighting the value of their offerings. Initially, we were hesitant to spend a significant amount on something that didnt seem immediately necessary. Our daughter attends a private school equipped with its own college advising team, and as actively involved parents, we felt confident in guiding her through the process ourselves. However, our daughter mentioned that “everyone was hiring a consultant,” which persuaded us to proceed so she wouldn’t be the only one without professional support. We were incredibly lucky when Sam Joustra was assigned to work with her. It quickly became clear that deciding to have a consultant was the best choice we made! From day one, Sam proved to be not only thorough and organized but also genuinely kind and supportive. She kept her promises and ensured our daughter stayed on track throughout the entire process. Additionally, Sam provided us with summary notes after each meeting she had with our daughter, which was extremely helpful as it meant we didnt have to ask her for every detail. During this journey, our daughter sometimes wanted to discuss everything and other times preferred not to. Sam handled this balance with honesty and encouragement as our daughter began to compile her college list. By the summer before her senior year, our daughter had already written over 20 essays for her applications. Collegewise’s editing team reviewed these essays, ensuring they were polished and effective. Entering her senior year with a heavy load of AP and honors classes along with sports commitments, our daughter wasn’t burdened with the additional stress of managing her college applications alone. She applied Early Action to most of her chosen schools and Early Decision to one. In early December, our daughter was accepted to her Early Decision school.
