Sam Joustra Provided Outstanding Guidance!

Our initial meeting with Collegewise surpassed our expectations in both service and offerings. At first, we were hesitant to allocate a significant amount of money to something that didnt seem immediately necessary, especially since our daughter’s private school included its own college advising team. As actively involved parents, we felt we could support her through the process on our own. However, our daughter pointed out that “everyone was hiring a consultant,” which led us to agree so she wouldn’t feel alone without professional help. We were incredibly fortunate when Sam Joustra was assigned to work with her. It quickly became evident that entrusting a consultant to our daughter was the best decision we made! From the beginning, Sam was not only meticulous and well-organized but also genuinely kind and caring. She consistently delivered on her promises and kept our daughter organized throughout the entire process. Moreover, Sam sent us summary notes after each of her meetings with our daughter, which was extremely helpful as it spared us from having to ask her about every detail. During the college application journey, there were times our daughter wanted to discuss everything and times she preferred not to. Sam managed this with honesty and encouragement as she helped our daughter develop her college list. By the summer before her senior year, our daughter had already written over 20 essays for her applications, which were reviewed by Collegewises editing team. As she entered her senior year, balancing a heavy course load with many AP and honors classes alongside sports, she wasnt burdened with the additional stress of college applications. She applied Early Action to most of her schools and Early Decision to one. In early December, she received acceptance from her Early Decision school.
