Our Experience with Solomon Left Us Disheartened

Our family endured a terrible experience with Solomon, and I truly regret selecting their services. The first counselor assigned was friendly but didn’t tailor her guidance to my daughter’s interests. The college list she provided was uninspiring, and she strongly advised against my daughter applying to more competitive schools. Just a month before the Early Decision and Early Action deadlines, she was no longer our counselor. The new counselor seemed unaware of our progress and was rarely available for support. Despite my daughter reaching out three times over two weeks for a Zoom call before submitting her ED application, she was told there was no time available. This situation caused immense stress for our family, especially for my daughter. She still sometimes cries because she received so little guidance. While we did our best to navigate the process, we’re not professionals. Although she was accepted to her ED school, she now regrets that decision as she wanted to explore more options. Solomon diminished her confidence and undermined her years of hard work by not providing encouragement, support, or clear options. Our family unanimously agrees that hiring Solomon was a mistake.I urge anyone considering their services to thoroughly interview your assigned counselor to ensure they are communicative and accessible. It was a significant waste of thousands of dollars.
